Despite Keith Caputo changing his name to Mina Caputo, aka changing his sex in an effort to boost modern audiences to listen to Life of Agony again, back in 1993 Life of Agony was fucking sick! It is really cool that they made a video for the song “Through and Through“.

Life of Agony’s legendary debut River Runs Red came out in 1993. The album featured a sound that is still unrivaled today. An original mix of sludgy thrash crossover that made one almost go damn! that sounds like Peter Steele singing for Sick of it All!

So, obviously, with that being said they were from the notorious Brooklyn NY, scene. Whatever you wanna call this album whether it may be crossover, thrash, heavy metal, doom, hardcore, alternative metal, It doesn’t matter, the only thing that matters is that this album kicks some serious ass and so does this song. “THROUGH AND THROUGH“!

BANG YOUR FUCKING HEAD AND CHANT ALONG!

You’ve got that look in your eye again
It’s working overtime
Worried about where I’m gonna spend my life
But it’s much too late, it’s much too late
Oh it’s much too late to start picking fights

You said: where ya been, where ya been
Where ya going to, where ya going to, where ya going to?
‘Cause I’m right here, yeah

Can’t it wait, can’t it wait, can’t it wait
Just a minute now, just a minute now, come on

I need some air to breathe
I need some space, just leave
‘Cause I’m colder than ever (colder than ever)
I said I’m colder than ever
I’m empty, empty through and through

Someday they’ll see, someday I’ll be
Unwanting of somewhere to hide
But for now I’ll take shelter
Deep in the back of my mind
Can it wait? can’t you wait?
‘Cause I ain’t ready to lay it on the line
I still shake, I still shake
From this chill in my spine

I’ve got this chill yeah
In the back of my spine
Baby all the time now
Chilling my bones, chilling all alone now

Find a way, find a way, I’ve found a way
To cope with the everyday now
Raise your hands if you understand

I need some air to breathe
I need some space, just leave
’cause I’m colder than ever (colder than ever)
I said I’m colder than ever
I’m empty, empty through and through

Smiling’s just a phase yeah
And nothing can phase me

New D.R.I. EP Next Month! No ratings yet.

In the past 6 years I have seen D.R.I. play numerous times in various cities. Each performance has featured Kurt stating that there will be new material released soon…. well soon is finally here. But Wait… There’s More! is a 6 track EP that will be released on June 10th. The New D.R.I. EP But Wait… There’s More will feature new music plus some classic tracks.

The irony is that Felix Griffin’s new band, Bat, will also be releasing a full length album on June 10th.

It has been 21 years since we have heard a new D.R.I. album, that is the same time it takes a new born baby to become a legal alcoholic. There is a 2 minute promo that you can let your ears feast on. Check it out!

Riddle me this, riddle me that, why the fuck did the Metal-Archives remove Beowülf from

the entries? I mean, they still have Excel and Beyond Possession and those two lay way more on the punk side of crossover. Who the fuck knows with those ass backwards elitist fuckwads that also removed Toxic Narcotic but host numerous amounts of (insert buzzword)-core bands on there. Well we’re not here to discuss the actual amount of metal required in the equation to be considered an element we’re here to talk about Beowülf‘s 1986 debut self titled album.

Signed to Suicidal Records, Beowülf sounds like a mix between Suicidal Tendencies and Cro-Mags. There is something really tight sounding about this album. I feel their follow up album Lost My Head, But I’m Back on the Right Track is better but this is a killer old-school album for crossover thrash enthusiasts.

Check out some Beowülf, you won’t regret it, but , how does it feel? TO TASTE THE STEEL!

his name was Peter Steele(R.I.P) , we we’re given some down right dirty New York City style Thrashy Speed with tinges of Hardcore, we we’re given Lord Petrus Steele and Carnivore.

If you are a Type O Negative fan and you dig the song Unsuccessfully Coping with the Natural Beauty of Infidelity, well, how about a whole album that is better than that fucking song?!? And that is exactly what this album is, thermonuclear tons greater than all of Type O Negative. Don’t get me wrong I chant along and sing to Black No. 1 all the time but I feel much better yelling things like “MALE SUPREMACY!” and “DID YOU CUM? I EAT AND RUN, I LIVE FOR SODOMY! CARNIVORE! I’M A MEAT EATER! CARNIVORE!…”

And even if you are a die hard Type O Negative fan that never listened to a real metal song in your life there is about a 3 minute interlude on Male Supremacy that you will enjoy… but this article is not for you, Carnivore is not for you. Carnivore’s Self Title is some of the best shit New York ever had to offer, and I really am putting this album up here.

Basically if you like Mad Max and play Fallout and wish you could ravage and pillage everything from California to New York in a V8 Interceptor (I can picture the beauty now) this album is for you. This is some really catchy, thrashy shit. So grab your wench and scream at her that you are the Thermonuclear Warrior and blast this fucking album.

and if any female Type O Negative fans feel I have insulted your idol all I have to say is YOU CAN TAKE A DICK BUT NOT A JOKE? TYPE O NEGATIVE WAS A JOKE!

KILL EACH OTHER
