I do not know when it hit because I have a copy of the tape… That news is not all. It seems as though Sepulcher also released a CD copy of Mausoleum Tapestry as well. Pestilence is one of the sickest bands to ever exist. The truest masters of Death Thrash, both musically and production wise. Here is a video for their song “Out of the Body” off the kick ass album Consuming Impluse!

If you are a fan of female fronted death thrash, Netherland’s own, Izegrim has released The Ferryman’s End just for you. This is the album you need to listen to. There is a lot of animosity and ferociousness captured on this recording.
The Ferryman’s End is the logical follow-up to 2013’s very successful Congress of the Insane, which drew a positively roaring press response from major magazines worldwide, with Aardschok calling Izegrim a “top-notch band from Europe!” and Rock Tribune calling the album “songs that Slayer would have wished to write!
In contrast to the thrash squadron’s previous album, The Ferryman’s End was written from a first-person point of view. Vocalist Marloes steps into the shoes of a twisted and insane main character, sitting on death row waiting to be executed (in opening song “White Walls”). Every song on the album is a journey further into the sick and disturbed brain of our murderer, who eventually gets executed in the end. During her very last act of terror, she kills the Ferryman, leaving all souls of his victims to dwell forever…
The album was recorded at the prestigious Soundlodge studio in Germany, who previously worked together with God Dethroned, Dew-Scented, and Suicidal Angels, among others. The album is a big step up from Izegrim‘s previous efforts, both production- and songwriting-wise: think about Kreator and Carcass punching you in the face at the same time! And artwork duties have been handled by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Satan, Hatebreed, Soulfly), who has delivered one of his most stunning works ever!
Many bands are not being able to top their earlier albums, but Izegrim‘s The Ferryman’s End proves that wrong in a very brutal manner, taking the catchy components of what made the band so successfully murderous on record as well as in the live environment and developing them further into extremely punishing barbarity!
