Dig it! At the height of the fame of Nu-Metal there were many bands that flooded the scene. Like System of A Down, there was Mudvayne, a band that brought true musical expertise to the table. Mudvayne was heavy, screw Hell-Yeah.
From the last Deicide album to feature the Hoffman brothers, Scars of the Crucifix, is this non-blaspheming Deicide video for the title track. Now, I am having a hard time figuring out if this was supposed to be a serious music video or the pilot episode for the show Sons of Anarchy. You be the judge.
Remember when MTV played good music, remember when MTV played bad music, remember when MTV played music? Carcass, among others, were of the truest metal bands to once upon a time ago to have been played on the now decayed into repeats of Ridiculousness network of MTV. Of all the videos MTV denied they somehow allowed this one for “Incarnated Solvent Abuse” to play in rotation. MTV used to give less of a fuck, I mean shit, they had a video about doing drugs and fucking strippers play, of course I am talking about the notoriously controversial “Smack My Bitch Up” by The Prodigy.
We want to put the Metal back into the “Music” of the M of MTV! GIVE US CELEBRITY DEATH MATCH, BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD, HEADBANGER’S BALL AND MUSIC BACK!
Probably will never happen but here is an instant classic from the heydays of MTV, Carcass‘s “Incarnated Solvent Abuse”!
Huff some embalming fluid, headbang and growl at home! here are the lyrics
This is an epic music video for a song that is beyond the capacity of words of epicism. Bathory‘s “A Fine Day to Die” is one of the heaviest tracks you can hear in the realms of Viking Black Metal, shit just Black metal alone.
Sing the Fuck Along at Home!!!!!
Orgy of silence
Conspiracy of peace
Only the sound
Of the cold northern breeze
Twinsun sink fading
Behind the black lake
Asleep is the mountains
Yet the night is awake
Strange is the night
Now black stars rise
And many moons circle
Through silent the night
Along the black mountainside scattered
By the campfires awaiting the dawn
Two times a hundred men in battles
Tried by the steel in the arrow axe and the sword
By battle worn hunger torn awaitening
For the sun to break through the cold haze
And for the banners of Ebal to appear
On the hill in the suns first warm rays
The elder among the men looked deep into
The fire and spoke loud with pride
Tomorrow is a fine day to die
Now the morning advance from far east
Now the sun breaks through dust clouds and haze
Now a forest of spears appears on the hill
And steel shines bright in the suns first rays
Debatably the most unpredictable, alternatively experimental,of popular metal bands is Faith No More. They never followed the rules of any era, and usually become the sand beneath the foundation. Here they are with the new video for the song “Cone of Shame”.
Faith No More has always made bizarre videos that follow the ethos of the bizarre Mike Patton, but this one is just surreal and a piece of art like a David Lynch flick.
“Cone of Shame” is a track from last year’s tremendous return of Faith No More entitled, Sol Invictus. Check out the video below.
P.S. I don’t give a shit if you like Faith No More or not, they kick ass! I am really hoping they stick around longer.
