Krisiun is one of the heaviest bands to emerge from Brazil. They debuted in 1995 with their tremendously abrasive death metal debut entitled Black Force Domain, and have since not stopped devastating the world with their uniquely heavy brand of death metal. From one of their later albums called Works of Carnage is the track “Murderer“. I did not even know there was a Murderer Music Video…

I was combing through YouTube looking for videos of various bands to share and I ended up stumbling upon a video for the song “Murderer” off the album Works of Carnage┬áby Krisiun, I have never seen this one before so here it is for everyone to check out. Comment below with some of your favorite Krisiun songs and videos.

Metalcore That Doesn’t Suck: Himsa – Courting Tragedy & Disaster 4/5 (1)

I myself hate Metalcore, I like a few bands of the genre, and they were usually the bands that musically delved more on the side of being metal and the vocals were of a hardcore essence. Lets be clear that I am talking about the genre’s resurgence, not bands like Integrity. So technically the genre I am speaking of would properly be named Post-Metalcore. The band that made me enjoy a marginal amount of metalcore was Himsa, and their album Courting Tragedy & Disaster. Now once again I do like certain “X”core genres like grindcore, but metalcore seemed to be a cheap gimmick played by snobby kids that had no technical prowess and like to just strum open note break downs all day. Himsa had some sick leads and a solid heavy metal influence. Later they developed more of a melodic death metal sound but their first album was post-hardcore and Courting Tragedy & Disaster was metalcore.

My favorite track on this album, though it has one of the shittiest names for a song ever, is A Girl in Glass. It has a solid metal riff and shows some skill.

With all that being said, listen to this album and let me know your opinion on it.
